Patchwork Colour Block Nails

Hello! I decided to paint a simple colour block pattern on my nails this week!

 I love how such a simple pattern can look so effective and I think it looks a bit like a patchwork!

I think it's great how a few squares of colours so look so pretty and intricate! This pattern reminds me of the book 'Elmer the Patchwork Elephant'!

The base coat I used is Barry M's 'Fondant'! I then chose the colours of the squares to complement the base! The pattern is hand painted in acrylic paint!

I was going to add some white lines to create a pastel check pattern but I loved this pattern on its own so chose not to do the lines! Maybe I'll try the pattern again in the future and add the lines!
